0 Goncalo Mendes
Hi, The truck is a Autocar U-70(U90?), with a tanker body. It is a strong possibility that it was previously a US Navy truck, as I remember to read somewhere that both 2x4 and 4x6 U70/U90 were used by this service for use in Naval land airbases. I researched this truck before: http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?38315-Autocar-U-9064-navy-tank-truck-searching-for-information http://www.trucksplanet.com/catalog/model.php?id=1892 http://www.trucksplanet.com/catalog/model.php?id=1930 http://g503.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=221583 http://www.mapleleafup.net/forums/showthread.php?t=20225 http://www.milinfo.org/article-autocar-u70-de-l-us-navy-au-1-50eme-sun-motor-co-121671514.html http://www.milinfo.org/2015/03/autocar-u70-citren-de-la-navy-au-1-48-sun-motors.html http://gallery.aths.org/record/0c80812da71de762a4061da1f6a03772b8ca8fb8 source: http://gallery.aths.org/search?&skip=275&limit=25&query=autocar Note, it seems that autocar was connected to White, and most photos of Autocar trucks appear under this. I hope that the links can be of help, if you find more infos and photos, please post them, this is a rare truck and all info is welcome!
