mwarrior
Can somebody please tell me what plugs you are using in your B80 (or what the manual calls for)? I've been told RSN 12Y and also been told that the RSN 13P are the correct ones. Looking to try ordering ASAP. Thanks
Richard Farrant
Can somebody please tell me what plugs you are using in your B80 (or what the manual calls for)?I've been told RSN 12Y and also been told that the RSN 13P are the correct ones. Looking to try ordering ASAP. Thanks The correct ones for all RR B range engines is RSN13P. RSN12Y were for 24volt screened ignition Land Rovers, when a problem occured with Jaguar J60 engines in Fox and CVR(T), a temporary fix ( official instruction) was made by substituting the original RSN13P to RSN12Y. Subsequently private owners have been using RSN12Y in Rolls engines as well, and as they are cheaper and do not foul so easily, they appear to be satisfactory. I am sure others will say the same. The choice is yours. Edited April 10, 2009 by Richard Farrant
Marmite!!
Stick with the RSN12Y's.. I've had better results with these
fv1609
If you fit electronic ignition you might want to open the gaps up a bit. You can do this with RSN12Y but not on RSN13P as the side electrode will break off. NSNs are a bit misleading as you will see at the end of this: http://www.hmvf.co.uk/pdf/IGNITIONMATTERS.pdf But there are other plugs that can be substituted. ArtistsRifles
As Richard says - stick with the 12Y's as the 12P's tend to foul up like there's no tomorrow so unless you are a bit of a masochist!!
