Lewis Garner
Hi all. I'm having trouble getting the rear diff drain plug undone on my Series III Landy. I wondered if anyone has the correct tool for the job or know of where I can buy one? I tried my own tool (a grinded down chisel+stilsons!) but this hasn't worked! I would try the Landy forums but I tend to find them a bit ignorant and unhelpful most of the time! :-D Best regards, Lewis.
morris c8 fat
We always used a square drive 1/2 I think anything else and it rounded off then it was drilled out and lots of beer was given to the VM to keep him quiet
Guest catweazle (Banned Member)
If its got the long slot there used to be a special socket,if not its just half inch square drive.

Lewis Garner
If not all i'll do is make up a tool on the grinder. A better tool, and bigger stilsons! At the mo i've been trying to use a ground down chisel, but there's just a little bit too much movement in the slot. I'd rather be safe than sorry if you see what I mean? After all that brass plug looks fairly soft anyway!
