steveo578
Nice photos -it does need some TLC though, As regards the sunken Armoured D7s -it is said that none still exist so it might be historically worthwhile to recover, while not the same thing, but often lumped together there is a D8 BARV in Australia. At least one armoured D7 still exists here in Blighty, I have seen pictures of it. Last I heard, it was being restored.
antarmike
Nice photos -it does need some TLC though, Dyson 50 ton trailer wheel / track chocks hold it in place! Are there normally the keyhole slots to take them at the start of a tank layed bridge? Why are they in the wrong way round, So many questions, so little time! Is that the ex-John Marchant one? Good to hear one is preserved and hopefully being restored!
Adrian Barrell
Is that the ex-John Marchant one? Good to hear one is preserved and hopefully being restored! I don't think John had a D7. He did have a Cat D8 BARV though.

You are right, he owned a D8 which was sold and was then "being used on land drainage for a contractor in Suffolk".

Yes, I asked but John can't remember where exactly and I've never been able to find out!
Axenige
Here's a little more about the channel wrecks, that I found while out suffering the virtual seas :-D http://neutraldivegear.blogspot.com/2008/08/scuba-divers-discover-d-day-tanks-at.html Oh and this also http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/2504563/D-Day-tanks-found-on-seabed.html I as to John Marchant, I think that he also owned a Centaur bulldozer, which I was latter told was turned back into a Gun tank with a Range wreck turret, does anyone know if this is the case, again its the old story I heard this info third hand. Nige H Not quite, Johns dozer was sold and now resides in Holland but is still a dozer.
