Great War truck
That is very interesting. The Russians did have some from WW1, but i was not aware of them ever being put to any use in WW2. The Germans used one in the defence of Berlin against the Russians and i have seen a picture of that destroyed in the city centre. I will see if i can find it. Tony B
The Germans used a number of captured Great War tanks, especially the Mk4. That particular vehicle appears to be Female, armed with only machine guns. I suppose if you are desperate, then hey it's got guns and some protection. the Russian's also had some tanks and armoured cars during the Great War supplied and manned by Brtish troops. These were abondoned after the revolution, so some could have survived.
ashley
. These were abandoned after the revolution, so some could have survived. Hi all, i am sure there was an article recently in either windscreen or one of the popular reads regarding the British tanks lent to Russia. Tony B
There is a very good description of the whole thing in the book Ironfist by Bryan Perrett. Well worth a read.
