6 X 6 Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 In this eBay listing the seller states the Bedford TK is fitted with a rare 1939 radio body. What vehicle would this body originally have been part of ? Thanks. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BEDFORD-TK-1982-EX-ROYAL-NAVY_W0QQitemZ230261607232QQihZ013QQcategoryZ122307QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Quote
woa2 Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 I believe that 1939 British Radio bodies were interchangeable with GS bodies on 6x4 3 ton trucks such as the Ford WOT1, and were not specific to one make. The spec being the same for all 6x4 3 ton trucks at the time so they could change a truck to whatever type was needed - GS, Office, Radio etc. Question is, is this a 1939 Radio body? Quote

Rick W Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 I would say no, looks later. Definitely not std fit Morris body. Quote
Tony B Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Why fit a TK with an obsolete body , to start with the new kit wouldn't fit? Quote
