I knew about the two regiments that surrendered virtually without a fight but hardly anything about these guys. Two infantry regiments facing an entire panzer army! Filled with Brave deeds by many who did not survive , and unfortunately often being commanded by arm chair officers who had no idea of conditions. From memory 5 Panzer Army on one flank, 6 SS Panzer Army on point - obviously and & 7 Panzer Army on the other flank. But I could be wrong.
