I have just done the reverse.

I would recommend RV Shipping, Wrexham. I would also recommend getting a customs agent as well, as this really does smooth the process over. They can deal with T1 form reference numbers, advanced customs totals and getting things in order and advanced payments of your duty.

Depending on what you are importing you may require an EORI licence/account.

Cost is dependant on if buying from a business or private customer, but usually it is your base VAT rate in the UK and most likely 10% import duty of total cost (inc shipping) - there could be concessions for historic vehicles.

You will need the customs clearance forms to register the vehicle in future.
