Looking for A.15 Crusader manuals, documentation...

Greetings,

I am looking for copies of any manuals or documentation for the A.15 Crusader, particularly the Mk.1 and Mk.2, both with the 2pdr. or the CS version with the 3" howitzer.

I currently have the 1942 edition instruction book for the Mk.1-3 and Chilwell Catalog No. 62/113... which is a small manual for the Wilson Steering Units.

I'm looking for spare parts manuals, workshop manuals, manuals for the transmission and steering units, Nuffield Liberty, 2pdr/Besa tank mounting, 3" howitzer mounting, etc.

I also believe the following Chilwell Catalog #'s would apply: 30/609, 62/103 and 62/118

Factory engineering drawings would be a great find but I'm not holding out any real hope for them... I think they have been lost to time.

I'm primarily interested in purchasing scanned copies but would be willing to purchase original copies as well.

I've already contacted Bovington and I am patiently waiting to hear back about what the museum archive contains... but I'm fairly sure they don't have a spare parts manual based on PM Knight's recent book.

I've also been looking at the index at the National Archives at Kew and the IWM... but being in the USA means I'd pretty much have to order copies and hope they contain relevant information.

I also intend to write the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust as I have read they hold the surviving archives of Nuffield M&A.

Thank you

I thought I would update this a bit,

I have been fortunate enough to locate a scanned copy of the Spare Parts Manual for the Crusader Mk.III. I am still looking for copies of a workshop manual or a spare parts manual for the earlier Mks. I and II Crusader as the later manual does not show the auxiliary MG turret. The Mk.III manual has drawing dates of 1944 and 1945... long after Crusader production ended. I would expect the early manuals were delayed as well and likely never left England with the tanks.

Still looking for the following Chilwell Catalog #'s: 30/609, 62/103 and 62/118

I contacted the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust and they recommended I look through collection of papers and correspondence of Sir Miles Thomas... there are a lot of tank-related files but nothing really stands out... also made more difficult as it would be in person-research only and I am in the USA.

I would be interested in purchasing copies of any manuals related to the Liberty-powered Cruiser tanks, A.13 Mk.1 and Mk.II, Crusaders all marks, A24 Cavalier and A27 Centaur.

Thank you
