phil.c
Hi fellas, trying to match up a few missing ropes for my small wall tent door flaps. Think they are around 3/8, 9mm thick? Can only find nylon rope but still not in right size. Any idea what original is made of? Phil
Oh Five
I have just bought 200 metres of poly hemp rope from Rope Services, via eBay. I am using it for guy lines for a canvas sheet. It has a texture to it but is artificial. They have natural hemp, jute and manila rope as well in a very large range of sizes. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282997048379?hash=item41e3f0443b:g:Vi8AAOSwydpbF39A

earlymb
I believe originally, white cotton rope was used for this and for the guy lines? Sizes can be found here, but a quick scam didn't reveal the material : https://www.6thcorpscombatengineers.com/docs/FieldManualsWWII/FM 20-15 ( Tents and Tent Pitching ).pdf Edited July 4, 2021 by earlymb
