Ford Truck
High, hope you can help identify our grandpa's Ford Pick-up truck. My ownly recollection of it was from the 1960's. At this point the front half... drivers compartment had been cut off. The shaft & back bed, back axle & wheels remained. It hade been converted into an open bed trailer w/ hitch disigned to carry items back & forth. It had been a Ford pickup truck. I just can't get a good approximate date. I want to suspect 1930s-1940s. The bed was had short chains attached to open & drop the back gate. The back gate had the name FORD boldly shaped into the steel at the back. At each corner of the bed, there were 4 app. 4X4 holes cut-in apparently for the purpose of inserting side gates. The top of the bed flaired out fairly boldly & thick. on the both sides. The steel was formed into a recatangular design patterns, pushed out from the bed on both sides and the back. Uniquly, the wheels were realtively large rubber tires but with wooden spokes. The hub caps were small in size with the word Ford framed shaped into them. Any direction you might be able to lead us in to find a visual of the original truck wood be greatly appreciate. Have a great day!!! Tom Ramstack, Milwaukee, WI., bayernimmigrant@aol.com

Citroman
If it was a truck it must have been a Ford TT. Or a T roadster Pick-up this had a metal bed.
mammoth
On the other hand it could be a farm special made from a later model with a model T axle or chassis stuck under it.
