timbo
Can somebody confirm the correct idle speed please? And also how to adjust it if, as I suspect, it is too high? Thanks Timbo
sirhc
Tim, You can adjust the idle speed by tensioning the throttle cable. Try disconnecting it from the accelerator pedal and see if the engine speed drops. It should idle at around 650rpm, if it's too high you can adjust the cable at either end. timbo
Thanks Chris will give it a go - it's at around 800 and proving tricky to engage forward/reverse with it running...!
sirhc
That does sound a bit high. The photo shows the cable, on our Spartan it was loose when we got it and a bit frayed. I have put a new one on now. Chris
