1973 Land Rover Lightweight

Blimey 15k! It does look very tidy indeed, although being picky the interior looks odd (no heater? centre seat missing, poss ex ffr?) it has an ffr canvas and the wrong tyres... Still nice though...!

A 12 volt GS would have in fact been kitted by Solihull with a FFR hood.

In a way it presents a attractive glam job picture because the paint finish is wrong for Army that it is representing , it would in 1973 have been ex-works DBG , then NATO green DP

As a FM it should have front bumperettes (KA to KD left the factory without front bumperettes) , likewise the rear VRM plate should be hinge mounted to the lower tailgate.

There are other things wrong at the rear (and the rest of truck) , minor so I will not dwell as not a nit-pick. However it does not look correct at the rear , the bumperettes are too clumpy , it seems they are the wider blade S2A (that not even a S2A Lightweight had). The S3 109" and all Lightweights had slender rear bumperettes..

amd. In fact IIRC the very first "pre-pro" S2A Rover 1 , that were produced on modified (narrowed) Rover 6 type chassis - did in fact have wide type rear bumperettes , but later they were made a bit more lightweight.
