I think it is OK underneath. There is quite a lot of wiring loom attached too, all braided wire and waterproof bullets. FTAGH
robin craig
How much would you like for it will be the deciding factor for a lot of people. I have two otherwise my hand would be up. Frankly for those of us out here in the colonies we don't see such things and most of us would be prepared to pay for it and rebuild the item just because we don't see them. You folks in the UK likely trip over them at every turn, at the local boot sales and flea markets and don't give them a second glance. Starfire
For the cost of postage, I would be interested. Can you please let me know how much it will cost to send to Adelaide, South Australia (5000)? Hopefully the fuel gauge will work better than the one on my Saracen Cheers, Terry

I guess you wouldn't be wanting all the wiring loom and ancillary parts that are on the back of the panel? I will bring it home with me next time I visit the folks and look at weights and things. It's likely to be a couple of weeks.
Starfire
Actually, I had a good look at it and it's in worse condition than I thought. I might give it a miss as shipping will be expensive for a gamble. Thanks, Terry
andypugh
I picked up the instruments last weekend, and I hope to give it a clean and inspection this weekend. There appears to be most of a wiring loom attached, which might be more useful than the instruments. Adjacent to where I picked it up from were some crates of other parts. Does anyone recognise anything useful? https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/AX4mDJkaf7D2REeY_BASrxc7VCAtwh2s5FgFYEWXI3g?feat=directlink https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/kBVEghtlnVX2cV8Ff_2nxhc7VCAtwh2s5FgFYEWXI3g?feat=directlink (clearly not all Champ)

andypugh
Adjacent to where I picked it up from were some crates of other parts. I found the Jerry can and bracket the other weekend. The can is marked WD and 1952, so was probably original to the vehicle. I have no idea if it is fuel-tight but it looks to be in decent condition.
