fv1609 Posted October 16 Posted October 16 The sad loss of a shrewd and respected commander. https://www.thetimes.com/article/e35894a8-9374-4a20-a580-9091b609db63?shareToken=9951e13729ebe43ba62b961f2682127b I had the honour to have a brief conversation with him, after he complimented me on my restoration of the Hornet/Malkara. Someone had kindly pointed out that the vehicle had been presented to a higher standard than when it was in service, which is always a compliment from a veteran. This was parked next to him forming the centre piece of a reunion photograph of the Parachute Sqn RAC. This was at Allenby Barracks 2001 when he was CGS and flew in by helicopter to address the OCA reunion. (I also restored the shield he is holding) 3 Quote
