woa2
Can anyone help? During WW2 Field Telephone Cable was D3, D8 (single or twin) or D10 which was black and twin cable (it still is today) but I don't know what colour or size the D3 or D8 cable is. Anybody out there got any idea? I do have some Yellow field telephone cable on a drum, but I don't know how to identify it. Also, I have a drum that should have D3 cable on it, but what is it? Any help would be appreciated.
Bodge Deep
I've got a ww2 6 line field-phone switchboard in the shed at home... I'll have a look and see if it can impart any wisdom
fv1609
It should all be contained in EMER TELECOMMUNICATIONS A780, Cables, Telephones, All Types. Here it gives data on 140 different types of telephone cables, but no mention of colour & no mention of D3 or D8. It mentions D10 & P Mks 1,2 & 3. But this is dated 1962. Maybe it would be in a WO Coded Signal Training manual?
