martylee
On the morning of april 9th 1940, Norway was invaded by german forces. The great warship Blücher was sank by coast artillery near Drobak, Oslo. Paratroopers landed around the southern part of Norway Sola, Stavanger and at Fornebu, Oslo both airfields. The norwegian army Norway made good resistance in some areas. Especially northern part of Norway and Valdres. An british intervention force came to Aandalsnes and met german forces together with the remaining norwegian forces at Dombaas and Kvam. The british were lacking equipment and were beaten down. The king and goverment escaped to england, where they stayed until the war ended in 1945. This is what I remember at the moment.
