SebBrady
Hi all just a quick question really how easy are CVR(T)s to road register? Has anyone had experience to give me pointers or is it simply now a no go? Vehicle in question is a scorpion. Cheers all Seb.
sirhc
It has been done many times. British or Belgian?
SebBrady
Pretty sure its Belgium, the faded white and faint Belgium flag in the front give it away somewhat. Will this affect registration... I don't know terribly much about scorpions. Seb
sirhc
It will make it more difficult to verify the age as you won't be able to get any service history, but it has been done before.
Grasshopper
The verification officer from your local MVT or IMPS should be able to help. I will be tackling this at some point in the distant future (having an ex-Belgian Scorpion under restoration) so will be keen to see how you get on. SebBrady
This is what I'm thinking with no paperwork where would you start to get documents that need to register, saying that I don't even know what documents I'd even need to start filling in the V55, never done it before, rookie honour i suppose.... Not quite true The MVT does not have local verification officers just a national one If you are a member of the MVT go to the MVT website and follow the verification tab The service is free for members and cost £40 plus VAT for non members ( it does however cost only £30 to join!!) The only documentation the DVLA will require is a V55/5 proof of identity a fee and the dating certificate from the club (If the vehicle is imported then you will need to make sure you have vnotified HMRC through the NOVA scheme.......HMRC website has the details) Edited February 26, 2014 by Brooky
