Hen Hunter
I have seen this modification on a CVRT Sabre and wondered apart from the tow bar modification, what and when the extra plate would have been fitted in the middle for, along with the lower bolt on blocks? The Sabre itself has been in yellow

DINGODOUG
I have seen this modification on a CVRT Sabre and wondered apart from the tow bar modification, what and when the extra plate would have been fitted in the middle for, along with the lower bolt on blocks? The Sabre itself has been in yellow desert colours in a past life, perhaps when it was a Scorpion? By coincidence I have just been wondering the same thing and was told by an expert that the original central towing eyes were prone to corrosion cracking of the welds and were removed. The plate is to cover up the affected area. I don't think all vehicles were modified as I seem to recall seeing a Sabre with the central towing eye. Hen Hunter
Someone mentioned that they thought the 4 blocks below the towing points were to bolt sand boards onto?
