Big ray
I have watched a film today starring Gregory Peck and Tony Curtis called Capt Newman M.D. The film covers an aspect of war that is very often overlooked, psychiatry. The film is described as comedic, I saw very little comedy. I thought that it was very thought provoking. The scene played by Bobby Daren relating his crash scene and subsiquent failiure to help his friend, a member of the bomber crew was very moving, it was an oscar performance. Eddie Albert was another actor worthy of mention for his portrayal of a disturbed senior officer, illustrating the pressures of command. Excellent film, well worth watching. The psychiatric hospital was situated in Arizona during the final stages of WW11.
