timbo
Sure somebody told me this a few years ago - if you have water in your petrol, pop a small amount of paraffin in, the idea being that the water 'sticks' to the paraffin, and is then drawn through the engine and burnt off? Does this sound feasible? Has anybody tried it? Cheers Timbo
ruxy
IIRC kero like paraffin is hygroscopic , so I suppose it would work BUT you would probably have to adulterate it so far you would need a TVO type engine with a vaporiser to use it up in any case. It may be best to drain the fuel & then decant the petrol off the water LoL
nz2
Works on the principle of different densities in the fluids. Oil products will float on water. The kerosene acts as a separating layer between the two different fluids. Drain off the water via the drain pug( slowly) , until the Kero becomes visible. Meths can also be used.
