Neilie Posted April 26, 2011 Share Posted April 26, 2011 Hi Folks, Thought you might like to see my recent conversion of the Airfix Tank Transporter tractor into the R100 with a Skytrex (Hinchcliffe) 7.2" Howitzwer. It features a full interior with all 12 seating positions, an 8 round ammunition rack with 2 ready rounds and an overhead gantry with chain hoist for lifting the trails and ammunition. It also has the older style horizontal drum winch hidden under the body. It is depicted as newly landed in Algeria for Operation Torch in 1942. Hope you like it. I have already started on converting the new Airfix QLD to a QLB and having it tow the Milicast Bofors gun on a Mark ll chassis. I'll post some pics when complete.
