A D Coaches

Cant seem to find any pictures of these bedford AD Coaches not even on Google images any one got any pictures.

Don't know about AD but this is a SB

They are nice, much like the RAF ones, the earlier Bedford SBs had big double doors and steps at the back for the ambulance role, but the later ones were just passenger buses. Looks like the War Office had a contract to supply all Services with the same vehicle.

That's the ones I remember from my RAF days, with front sliding door, not a folding door like later. Took my first trip in one of those from Lincoln to RAF Swinderby as a new entrant (about a 100 years ago!).

Thats the one Paul thanks, thanks for the other photos chaps, we use to pick them up from Dortmund the old petrol ones if you was lucky you got a diesel one . Dont see any about at all nowadays
