diamond-t-steve
Hi all. I know it's a bit late but I thought I had better introduce myself. My name is Steve (mmmmm, I would never have guest ) and I have spent all my life man and boy playing with lorries. I was brought up in Essex with lorries having a father who owned a tipper company that was established by his father in the 20's. I went into recovery in the very late 70's starting out my driving career on a Bedford A model with hand operated Harvey Frost crane. Spent 15 years in the recovery industry on and off, specialising in winching, plant recovery and demolition, operating 3 Diamond "T"s, 2 Leyland Martian's and 1 Antar amongst others in my time. Then I married a lass from the midlands and moved to South Staffs ( cos it's cheaper than London ) I then spent some years driving tippers and general haulage untill eleven years ago, I then moved on to Heavy Haulage mainly moving railway locomotives for midland based companies, namely Moveright International ltd in Sutton Coldfield, Allelys in Reditch and Heanor Haulage in Derbyshire. Not working at the moment because of on going health problems.... Currently own 2x Diamond "T" 981's and an ex Belgian army 45t rogers trailer. My interests Include History, Vintage technology and of course my 4yr old daughter Willow. I hope I have not bored you all and as Spock says "Live long and prosper" Steve...
