David Molyneux Posted July 20, 2010 Share Posted July 20, 2010 I have just joined the forum. Having recently retired from Airbus in Bristol I have time to pursue other activities. I have to confess I do not own any military vehicles although I have always been interested in military vehicles, with particular emphasis on RAF vehicles. I have no doubt this interest was reinforced when I was able to visit the vehicle depot at El Firdan in the Canal Zone of Egypt. The father of my best friend worked there and we spent several afternoons in the armoured car lines. We were really spoilt for choice; I guess there are not many people who have sat in a Sd.Kfz. 222, Otter and Morris Light Reconnaissance car all within ten minutes.
