how can I look at "new posts" and mark them as read, without moving of the "new posts" page, and back to the Forum?

 

Surely if I am sure I have read all the "new posts" that interst me, I run the risk of someone posting something of interst to me, before the "forum" reloads, I get to scroll to the bottom, and click on the "mark forum read" link.

 

Surely there is the possibility of missing somehing I would want to see, if I have to go through this procedure?

If you mark forums read then all you have to do is click new posts & the page will reload with new posts if any... or am I reading your post wrong:confused: you can mark forums read in the quick link menu

I am just concerned that by the time I get from looking at the list of new posts to the "mark forum read" click button at the bottom of the Forum page, I may be saying I have read them when I haven't. ie someone could have posted after I left the "new posts" page and before I get to the Forum and scroll down. But now I know that Mark as read is an option under quick links, I know that won't happen, Thanks.
