FV1604A
Hi, Excellent job. An amazing restoration from the vehicle seen in Paris sticking out of that hedge. Received your pm message, Thanks. Now you have set this standard, can we see the Federal 94x43 on W and P ground in 2013, Tony? Seriously, well done, you are both a credit to the movement. Hope the weather improves in UK (it's lousy here too!) for the show, Kind Regards, Mike.
Rosco
An incredible restoration and a credit too all involved. A photo that may be of interest (I think this is an Autocar) I took this in 2006 while on holiday in america. It was part of a collection of ww2 vehicles (incl GMC's, Macks of various types and jeeps) The owner was moving away from military vehicles to old american cars. Gordon_M
Anyone have a U8114T in restoration? I bouhgt a small pile of manuals recently and included was a TM9-1817 Power Train, Chassis, and Body manual for the U8144T. I'm happy to leave it in the library, but thought I'd mention it here in case someone needed it more than me - as I can't see me every owning one. TooTallMike
Hi Gordon, That manual covers my U8144. I have a repro but I would love an original copy. I'll drop you a PM. - MG
Joris
Wow what a fantastic end result to this restoration! I was reading up on TooTallMikes Autocar restoration and then remembered I was following this thread too. Well followed it up to a point it seems because I never saw the finished restoration. Shame I did not see it the one day I was at W&P last year, better luck some other time?
Antony
Thanks Joris, we are hoping to take it to A&E, another addition has been the aquisition of a pair of original fuel tank brackets and straps, no fuel tank yet, but we can hope..........
