Well after all this time listening to his master's voice on here I have finally gone and done it, I HAVE AQUIRED A "JIMMY".
Myself and a good friend of mine were having a chat late one Sunday at War and Peace over a few beers  when the topic of trucks and wanting a change came up, I was looking for something to camp in rather than a tent, and he was looking for something bigger than the GMC, we discussed the two vehicles, had a look around them about 0100 with a torch and decided it seemed like a good idea but wait until the morning to make a decision.
Come something AM we looked again, talked shook hands on the deal and will exchange (straight swap) vehicles at the end of the month, I will then be the owner of a GMC Workshop used by the Swiss army up until 1998 which has been converted to a camper in the back, ideal for me and he will have himself an M35A1 Reo which will be missed by myself, but hey ho things move on but I am well chuffed with what I am getting and I know of only one other like this and that is in the Hop Farm museum, unless someone knows different.
I understand that I am going to be ribbed regarding going to the dark side, but one thing in my favour is that I still have a 1954 M series Jeep in my possesion, so I have not completely flipped :-D
