Interesting that plan shows the chalets just to the left of the main entrance where the animal farm is now, so that does leave room on the showground for the rumoured golf course then :dunno:

After hearing some rumours at the weekend and making some phone call at way past midnight, I decided to check for myself this morning and found out that it is true, the Hop Farm are building a large adventure playground in one of the fields used for the War and Peace show. Now with the planning permission the owners have got for chalets and this adventure playground the question is how long can it remain a venue for shows let alone the W&P one, are the days numbered for large shows like this. I for one will be sad if this does happen I know some will not especially the local residents and some MV owners, BUT I do not think anyone else will take up the mantle and do a show of this magnitude if it does close.

HI All Had a great weekend just gone at the above rally down in Leysdown on the Isle of Sheppy, started on the Friday afternoon through until Sunday afternoon along with the rain of course, on Saturday we do a convoy into Leysdown centre with an Abbot self propelled gun leading the way with approximately 40 vehicles, this stops by a cafe for about 30 minutes to take pictures and get interviewed by the local paper. During the convoy run we drop people off with buckets to make a collection for the Royal British Legion, I had a Reo full of kids throwing RBL ballons out the back and sides for the public and in total we collected just under £150 for a worthy cause. Saturday afternnon we have the infamous boys v girls rounders where the girls always cheat and win the trophy, this was interrupted by the rain a couple of times, where the boys had a couple of beers (supplied by the girls) and then resumed, I am sure this is how they win every year. Sunday woke up to the rain, packed everything away in the and drove off in the afternoon in the glorious sunshine, typical english weather, but once again a great time was had by all that attended. I echo all the above, I found out on Saturday night at The Mustard's Farm rally and it knocked me for six, he was one of the gentleman of the IMPS and the MV scene. He will be missed greatly.

Hi John we have a set of 4 fans at the front blowing in and a set of 4 at the back extracting, it is a single pot Lister engine very slow so should not be a problem, but as of yet it has not been tested for a long time to see the heat build up (if it does) :dunno:

Jack had better reverse up it then :rofl:
