  1. Used both a personal choice, the 113 is sweet to drive and operate, being shot at 432-please its as fast and responsive as any 113 across country demolishing hedges it's speciality
  2. Yes you can run-up a 43 series power pack externally from the vehicle without removing the vehicles own power pack. Stand the pack facing the vehicle, inspection hatch open disconnect the various leads and fuel line from the vehicles own pack and attach to external unit. Check everything is connected properly and when satisfied you are ready go for a start using the vehicles on-board starting panel. Not sure about Abbott cross 432 going to be dependent on the service connection and there location on the pack. Gearbox, with the short prop shaft removed there is no reason why you couldn't drive the box but what are you looking to achieve. Baz

  5. Hi Steve, following the first Gulf, I worked for a company reworking ex-military vehicles predominantly Land-Rovers most of which ex-Gulf. The colour and finish were varied from light stone almost white to dark sand and many shades in-between. Vehicles from the same unit varied in colour, paint texture, size and position of markings not to mention the degree of personalisation of equipment fitting - enjoy
  6. I believe the spun outer casing for Bans Wallis Grand Slam bomb was manufactured in the U.S as no suitable equipment was available in the U.K. But I could be wrong.
  7. I am half way through a rebuild of a 15-cwt 12-cab Chevrolet for a friend. We were warned to use only 6-volt grade wiring including heavy grade earth straps. Went 2-nd go on the first attempt to start in more than twenty years using a half charge 6-volt battery.

  21. New to the Forum Would appreciate any detail of what goes around the top edge of a 12-Cab on a CMP- Chevrolet. I have a lot of parts but nothing fits. Vehicles previously owned Munga, QL-Bowser, QL-Trooper, QL-Bofors Gun Tractor, 432. Presently restoring Chevrolet 15A - 12 Cab for a friend
