  1. Well how did I miss that thread...must try harder!
  2. My Uncle used to live in one pre-war, and a carriage was the basis of a bungalow just along the road from me until it was demolished by developers, too quick for me to take a picture though!
  3. Sorry to read about your ankle Mark, hope it sorts itself out soon, 51 is a good age to be, any younger and you might have missed the Stones altogether..:-D
  4. Always a problem when working alone, no one to take pix of the really interesting bits..

  8. Hi and welcome Tim, the Seaford Head area has been discussed on here before, centuries of military activity lay hidden or have eroded away up there, I've no doubt. http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?15683-Pillboxes-Cuckmere-River-Haven&highlight=cuckmere+haven http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?16259-Partly-Hidden-Pillbox-Cuckmere-Haven&highlight=cuckmere+haven
  9. Nice work and well worth all the effort just to flatten those hills , A&E will be a breeze now..
  10. Whatever the cause it looks like another complete end is the best and easiest way to go forward, I wouldn't be using any more sweat on that one. Good luck mate, it seems bad but if Andy can get bits it should be pretty straight forward.
  11. Well that's a bummer Nick, I can't see that being an 'official' fix because it is bound to damage the threads, at the torque needed, not good engineering at all. It can't have worked hence the welding. My guess is that the taper and hub are so miss matched, beyond lapping in, or the key-way so b**gered that it just would not stay put. Is this the only one that is welded?
  12. Time well spent I would say, that is very nice
  13. Maltese Antar Austin K6 and others Something went wrong...
  14. Somewhere, I know I have a have a spare cap for that can..haven't seen it for a while, watch this space.
  15. Those are amazing shots at short notice..I'm impressed.
  16. Ditto, went last year as MOP, liked it, would like to enter but too long a day there and back..
  17. Gets into all those holes and corners you just can't get to, no noise or dust and it's so cheap.
  18. Impressive stuff Tom, brave of you not to take a mate.
  19. Tried this today, left it bubbling over night, washed and brushed off loosened rust with a nail brush. Immediately dried it and put it in the Rayburn oven for a bit, then a quick wire brush. worked a treat, used battery charger, 6v trickle, 12v bulb (for safety, it just glowed red) in line to reduce amps and lessen scumming. Why I didn't try this years ago? It's brilliant, read on the web that someone had done a chassis in his swimming pool! http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/andyspatch/rust.htm
  20. This one? http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?4185-Fox-CVR(W)-Runflat-Inserts..-HELP!!!&highlight=tyres
  21. Maybe I read that as two keys per key way, or summat... :nut:...welcome to my world of diminishing faculties, no way I'm taking one of mine off to check though!
  22. Obviously a high power mod, never seen that, every set of parts should be numbered with a different number, at least they where on mine, the last bloke never spotted that though..:nut:
  23. Some bright spark had previously mixed all my hubs, keys and nuts up when replacing them, I replaced them in the right order and paint marked the nuts when tight, took the hub caps off a few times since to check for movement.......:shake:
