  1. Sounds good so far Paul, would these be new, can you get new tubes, and any idea of ply rating?
  2. I use Google Earth to post location pictures as it has a simple File>save>save image function that G Maps does not seem to have.
  3. Having now seen that these tyres appear to fit Scammell rims where would I start to look to possibly buy a set from?
  4. Hi Matt, nice Matador you've built there, well done.
  5. Ex Caffyns Pioneer modified around early 60s, ish. I remember it being featured in the local paper back then, I was impressed. If I recall correctly I saw it in Eastbourne around the same time.
  6. God work Nick, all good for the Beltring kitty!
  7. Can't do Tuesday I'm afraid, should be OK almost any other time.
  8. To avoid modifying the trailer or Bedford how about something like this, curtesy Gritineye designs..a LR size nato coupling could then be used Others have used the same idea before
  9. I reckon that is just about as good as it gets in this hobby, it is sooo stylish, what a stroke of luck!
  10. Is the truck hitch the right height for the trailer to sit level?
  11. HI Dave, would it not be easier to extend the Bedford tow hitch mounting?
  12. It's the same in the clubhouse this time of night, everyone talking over each other all the time, and talking rubbish! Bring back the old closing times I say.................
  13. Richard, I had just deleted that post because I was confusing the Neate brake with the transmission brake on an Explorer, a case for reciprocal deletion if ever I saw one.................:red:
  14. We don't care about those Mexican dudes working in the sunshine, we're rooting for you...........
  15. Can't think how that reflects on us, you cant get a tax disc without insurance and MOT (or declared exemption) so just like a normal every day offence. The only reason for a historic vehicle not having a free disc will be one of the above reasons.
  16. Welcome Mick, nice Pioneer, great name Invincible, was that used in service?
  17. Thanks chaps, I got one of those emails saying it was being used in Afganistan "by some of our boys overseas", I wasn't sure if it was maybe a CGI creation, it certainly is an awsome paint job.
  18. What's the plan for the trailer Nick, are you putting a box on it?
  19. Does this helicopter really exist, and if it does what's the story?
  20. There ya go: http://www.rememuseum.org.uk/vehicles/wrv/vehscamx.htm
  21. Shame you have to wait Les but I'm sure your son will get it sorted, I find that they usually can if over 6yrs old! A very nostalgic film, I don't know any of the stars and cast, but it was all so similar to the daft antics our gang got up to around the same time. Thanks for the link Tim.
  22. Les, it needs Adobe Flash Player to run, maybe you haven't got that on your PC and need to download and install it.
  23. I haven't remembered where I got that from but I have just found virtually identical info quoted here, http://www.ukmotorhomes.net/motorhome-mot.shtml Further down the page it seems large motor homes are possibly being seen as living vans if they carry bikes etc. as they are seen as "goods or burden", this may be very relevant for many members if not to this particular thread/discussion . It is interesting to note that the DfT picked up on a slight error in the VOSA reply, just shows how complicated it all is.
  24. I will ask the farmer who has the date stone if he has any photos, and what he remembers, may be a while though.
