  7. Alien, the 2 wpn sights for SLR were Suit and NOD, sometimes referred by some as "The Twilight Scope". Twiggy was a tripod mounted observation device based on the II principle. Bazz

  11. With the fog, very little was seen especially in the air, no flying on Saturday and only 2 flights on the Sunday.:-( Bazz

  14. Just to go on a bit from Aliens post, on the same ex I was following a Scorpion down a deep track, he was about 25m in front, the track started to get narrower and deeper. We must of gone about 150m when the veh in front came to a grinding halt. I stopped and walked down to the veh, what had happed was that the tracks on both sides of the veh had been pushed of the bottom run of the roadwheels by the pressure of the soil building up on the sides. The crew then had to dig out the sides of the veh so the tracks could be split and the veh then was dragged back up the track so the tracks and roadwheels could be replaced, it took hours. Bazz

  16. i was driving so couldn't drink. However did meet and chat with some mates not seen for a long time on the QOY and LD display stand. Bazz
  17. weather hot, but a very thick sea fret continously blowing in off the sea, at times very clear but most of the time you couldn't see your hand in front of your face. Bazz

  20. Planks also used to prevent magnetic mines/bombs from being stuck to the sides. Bazz
