Hi thats it,

spoke to HK Dave to night and he confirmed it was Bells Palsy :shake: and is now on a course of tablets, i know he was having trouble with his right eye through out the show but the medics said it was a eyelash stuck under his eyelid.

One of the lads at work had it and it was through a virus in the lower ear canal which caused the problem apparently.

I am sure the yellow goggled monster will soon be on the road again.

It seems most events are down the South of England... which sucks if you live in Wales or the North its a 3-4 hour drive for me and covering over 500 miles round trip thats about £60 in Fuel for me, takes the fun away then as its less to spend. If I had a MV I'd be skint before I got there my Ford KA is bad enough.

Well all,

returned from the show on Sat (what a nightmare M25 1/2 mile in 1 hour then 1 hour parked up due to accident ) HK Dave brought a sankey trailer and some radio equiptment (don't ask ) and had to drive back in his Hotchkiss (7 hour drive) then wanted to retry his radios out on my front lawn :nono: saw some great vehicles and met quite a few forum members (Rambo at approx 0745) in his sleeping attire, Chris G felt a little queasy at this moment.

Hope your tent peg is O.K. CW :sweat: PW and of course Clive, thanks for he ride in the truck Andy.

Me poor mate HK thinks he suffered a mild stroke ? as one side of his face dropped and he could hardly talk clearly today :??? told him to go to A&E ASAP i have seen similar symptoms for another type of illness but couldn't`t remember the name.

Will ring tomorrow to see how he is.

I hope to make my annual pilgrimage to Kent this summer, but my co-beer drinker doesn't think he can get time off, thus leaving me a billy no mates. Rather than being the sad sack on my own if this is the case, would any one mind someone parking a funny looking Land Rover & pitching a tent on the end of their group and possibly engaging me in conversation every now and then... even if only to ask if it's still raining.

For several years i have always tavelled alone.......(are people trying to tell me something) but once on site i am usually never further than 10 meters away from some one i know (except Jack who camps in the money fleecers area :sweat: :-D in his lovejoy vehicle:rofl:) Though this year i may well have the company of HK Dave should be interesting !

i belive there are very few complete units of the owned (3-4) i also understand that the correct trailers are very hard to find.

The one that i know of which was for sale a few years ago was complete with all sexton, all correct tools uniforms and personal equiptment.

Hi as previously mentioned they will not accept vehicles as an independant display........these days even the local MVT do not get an invite.

Vehicles with the living history displays are only accepted.:cry:

Obviously it depends on whatever the vehicle is capable of and whether the owner thinks they will keep up.
