  1. No forth coming information on this one??
  2. Thank you Pierre, hopefully work will re-commence in the next few weeks. WOT stands for War Office Truck and 6 is its model number.
  3. Great picture, thanks for letting me know, I’ll keep an eye on the bidding.
  4. Looking good, that will give it a few years more protection. Is that the bonda red oxide you’ve mentioned before?
  5. Evening everyone I need some help to identify a Jeep steering wheel, I am sure this subject has come up before but why not have a fresh thread, it’s currently fitted to a January 43 gpw which I know is wrong, I think it’s either an early 42 or possibly cj, it has Sheller embossed on the back and groves around the outer edge.
  6. Looking good Steve, your not wasting anytime and there’s definitely workshop jealousy!!
  7. Good effort, it’s amazing what a bit of thought and a couple of well placed ratchet straps can do!!
  8. French Hotchkiss adapter ?? Is the rack an original? I’ve recently purchased what was advertised as an original gun rack, it’s still in the post at the moment so I can’t compare anything , from what I’ve read in other blogs it’s difficult to tell the difference between original, French and repo as they aren’t any markings.
  9. Unusual bracket, does it fix to the rack or slot in? it looks like an upright mounting bracket, maybe gmc etc...
  10. More weetabix required!! The cab is undamaged and luckily so was my van. I like your thinking but may have to move house first.
  11. Good question, the other side of the truck bed also folds down to allow more working space.
  12. I believe it was painted with a paint or substance that reacted to gas and changed colour to warn the driver of a gas attack.. and as a tea tray😁
  13. Great set of photos, thanks again for putting them on this blog.
  14. Absolutely fantastic thank you so much, I wonder if mine appears in the road side line up. Do you know where and when they might have been taken?
  15. I think I might struggle to find that much equipment!! They really were well equipped.
  16. Hi Keith yes please, any wot6 pictures would be appreciated. Seamus
  17. As the end of 2020 fast approach’s ( thank God !! ) I thought I would do a quick update the on progress of the Fordson since my last post..... ZERO!!!!!!!!!! ......... the down side of working on your driveway , bad weather and short winter evenings coupled together with work being busy, lockdowns, COVID and isolation... the project has currently stalled for the moment but will resume when the weather improves or if I win the lotto and buy a massive fully equipped workshop!! I know we’re all in the same boat and it’s been a testing year for everyone but look on the bright side, the evenings are getting lighter ( slowly ) 2021 🤞will be a cracking year for military vehicle shows and hopefully we might get to go on holiday without wearing a Hazmat suit 🤨 Some of you might remember the temporary garage I put up to work on the truck needless to say the wife was less than impressed but it served its purpose. Fast forward a few months and this is how it looked this morning!! Storm Bella clearly sided with my wife and didn’t like it either, despite being tied to the truck and 2 old batteries securing the legs it didn’t stand a chance.... And just to add insult to injury my wife sticks her head out the window, smiles and utters those words “ is it broken “ As you can imagine the reply can’t be posted on this blog 😬
  18. Just a thought for your broken light lens if the mini sidelight doesn’t work Land Rover series convoy light has a similar size/shape, also the L/R fuel pump sediment bowl is a possible option
  19. I had a dodge wc engine that looked like that, it had been exposed to the elements for many years, filled with water during winter, dried out during summer, repeat that for 20 years and it makes a hell of a mess.
  20. That is disappointing, anymore leads on another valve?
  21. It’s definitely a leak back pipe, literally!! It’s started to dribble and leak 🙄
