  4. Welcome on board, I worked in Houston for a few months. Fun place!!
  5. Welcome on board. Thats a fine truck you have there, would love to see more pictures
  6. that Sterling wrecker is a beauty!!! The Navy one I have reference off doesn't have the front mounted winch, this one does though but I think its missing a large bumper that was mounted in front. Could it be a different model or variant for the army?
  7. Looks like a good show, might have to add to the list for next year.
  8. Truly awful. Though great tigerstripe! my favourite scene is where he smashes his rifles against the tree and its clearly this Mattel Toy
  9. We will be going to Military Odyssey, as you say its a more living history focused but some good vehicles go and more are being encouraged by the new promoters
  10. great stuff...seems so long ago now!!!
  11. I agree if the vehicle is either; a civvy vehicle that is ex-military and marked as such a civvy vehicle used in a living history scenario - hi-lux technical a replica of a military vehicle but using civvy base- the VW Beetle shown is a good example Replica military vehicle - the SPR Tiger I think thats fine. Otherwise its just trying to get round the system to get some cheap tickets, as said what was put on the entry form. 1989 Renault UN Vehicle?
  12. I see this an exchange - we collectors or living history folks spend a fortune to display and get good weeks pretty much free camping and passes -The public pay to come to see our stuff and that covers the cost of the show, toilets, security etc. The stuff that everyone complains about when they are broken... Nothing is for free. The more people who fake up a Mondeo to get in means worse facilities for everyone
  13. I agree too. Costs us about a grand every year to put on our display!
  14. Welcome on board. Whereabouts in Norfolk? I have a place in Great Massingham, lovely part of the world
  15. Well we all got back on Monday after 11 days on site. Overall I think it was good with the usual teething problems Good Points: Weather though nothing to do with the organisers The amount of peopler there as visitors, we were at the outer edge of the living history field and had a lot of traffic The bar on top of the victorian grandstand, great breeze, cold beer, chesterfields and a good view All the vintage stall and hairdressers, made my wife and friends very happy Good amount of traders I like the one way system but bit odd going through arena Tea Rooms were nice though not sure they enjoyed me and my rather hot team taking up space Bad Points The ditches in the living history field, really needs some bridges The whole place could do with some "you are here" type maps Seemed less living history folks there, maybe as I could be bothered with the ditch system so gave up on a few journeys. Maybe I missed folks Very rough ground in camping areas but I know this is being ploughed, levelled and planted Lack of water in showers a few times but fixed and ours were cleaned. The system was a bit like Le Mans with someone at each "Toilet City" as Rex called them cleaning them I will feed these direct to the team as well.
  16. Well it burnt our knees sanding the bonnet! and the poler trees shedding there seeds didn't help!
