  1. Why did you go with white?. We're you going for a white winter camo scheme?.
  2. Thanks fella,s for the help fella,s. well it seems with all my endeavours I have managed to book myself in after all. Got an e-mail to show I've booked in 6 times. All the time it was coming back as invalid entry. It had in fact gone through.
  3. Well i have filled out the online form 6 times. Filled in all the required fields and the verification test at the end. And it keeps coming back as invalid submission???. Dont think i can be bothered now.
  4. I did gather that the set was performing two purposes. You did a good job. It's been a long time since I have been to a show be it Military or in the car world that you get an "interesting" commentator. Most are boring or fall flat on there arse. But as I said before. I think you did a cracking job. Look forward to hearing you do the arena events next year.
  5. I dont know if it was you or not. But on a few occasions i made it to the arena i heard the same commentator during the times i was there, and during the battle with the Russians and Afgans and referrred to the afgan village as "Frenchganistan"?????. If it was you, then i can only commend you on a job well done. A natural ability to commentate and never dried up once and was able to keep the info flowing. Well done chap.
  6. Thats the trouble with vehicles of this age. They are so easy to "Ring". As for it being seen travelling to the docks, then that wont happen. It will be "knocked down" and containerised so all that will enter the docks will be a container amongst 1000,s of others. The only bonus about this theft is the vehicle is very distinctive, and this is a very tight community. So i am sure something will surface some where. I do hope the owner is re-united with it.
  7. The SAS chap would be Rusty Firman. Also a veteran of the siege of Mirbat in Oman.
  8. I think it's a great pic. It's the Ferrets best side.
  9. . First pic is of my Ferret with my daughter in the turret.
  10. 24 Volt Penthouse Lamp with an extra long lead £20 24 Volt to 12 volt converter £20 some jerrican seals £1 each Bought for next year. Special Forces silent generator £1000. I got to be honest i didn't think there was anything really great about the stalls this year or anything that stood out, apart from the prices that they are charging for de-acs then i reckon me and my brother would make a killing.
  11. Well. Just got back. And it turned out alright in the end. With todays weather being like Beltring of old. Highlights for me were friends and family coming down and creating a great atmosphere. Meeting Forum members Griff 66,Celstar,Grasshopper,TooTall,Chris G. Nick Johns, and Eddie Dohun. Even met a fella i last saw at the show 23 years ago. Downside,s were digging myself out of the mud at 11.30 at night. Well it was fun till the following day when returning back to the site a half shaft broke. Typical LR trait. Managed to buy two from Dunsfold and have it repaired on site. And like anything with Beltring. You wait all year for it come around and then it goes so quick that you wished it would come around again a bit sooner. Well next show for me is Combined Ops. And then a complete change of track.Out to Spa Francochamps for the Spa 6 heures classic. While i am out there i will take in some sites around the Ardennes.
  12. I'm in Medway and the place is now packed. It's bad down here. But I am here now. So sticking it for the duration.
  13. Spent the best part of 30 minutes earlier on tonight on my hands and knees with a shovel digging myself out of muck and s***e. For the first time since sunday i managed to cross axle the landrover right up to the diffs in the mud and bogged down. Completely my fault. But with no one around, then what better time to make use of the pioneer tools. Off came the shovel, and away i went. Managed to draw some observers who i could hear laughing and muttering that i would never get out unaided. Not to be defeated i pressed on clearing myself enough room under all the wheels so i could have a go at shunting myself back and forth to free myself. With a little vigour and quite a bit of exerting out the Landrover came to a standing ovation. On a lighter note. Managed to meet up with a few forum members. Spent the best part of the afternoon in the company of Paul(Griff66) and his brother Celstar. Came across TooTalll Mike and Grasshopper. And later on had a chat with Nick Johns and Chris G. Well everyone keeps saying about the mud of 07. Well i have attended this show for the last 24 years and never seen it this bad. Lets hope the organisers can get something done with some of the main site before the punters start arriving in the morning.
  14. Those pressures are only good if you are carrying a load in the rear. Seeing as most don't most of the time then I would drop the rears. I always used to run with 26 on the rear, and would drop the pressure even further during snowy weather.
  15. Popped down myself tonight. It's pretty boggy in places but it was no problem for the Landrover which is fitted with road biased Avon Range masters. Cars were having a trickier time though. But there are plenty on hand to drag them out. The War and Peace staff are still hard at work pumping out the flooded areas, and we're in the process of pumping out the public camping area while I was there. It doesn't seem as bad now as the pics posted and the stories people were telling coming back from there earlier in the week.
  16. At the moment it,s at a crossroads lol. Tomorrow I will make a decision. But things are looking positive,so I will probably see you and bruvs there mate.
  17. Me and the other half will be down later to have a look around. From the pics it does'nt look to bad.
  18. Nick i take it the driving position is a lot better than the 101?
  19. Having watched some of the videos of Volvo,s in actio, then its very much eveident that the off road ability far exceeds the 101. I have had three 101,s and to be honest i never thought thay were that great off road. To light on the rear end,and not enough axle articulation.
