  5. Hello Listerdiesel They made a nice job of the exhaust flanges, I dont suppose you had any spares cut and want to sell one.The silencer you used looks like the ones that are used with the CCK 3.5 kva ex British Army. You have made a nice job of that.Because mine is in a small cabinet I think i will put on a quick realease type fitting, as used on the cck gennys.it is suppose to have an pancake exhaust muffler but this i would have to make dont think i would get an original part now. Regards Howard
  6. Hello Listerdiesel, Thats a nice looking little genny you have there, the thing I like about these gennys is how quiet running they are. Thanks Howard
  7. Thanks for that, interesting stuff thats also alot of oil.I suppose the oil would have come into the airfields in tankers, and pumped from them to the bowsers, or did they have larger storage tanks somewhere on the airfield or nearby, and transfer from there. Howard.
  8. The bowser that I have waiting to restore, still has the pump in the back box and clearly has( petrol only) on the gauge so wheather this bowser started its life out as an oil bowser i dont know. Its seems to me to have a bowser like this just for oil is a bit on the large size or did they get through alot of oil. I tried to upload a picture but the loading screen keeps going blank halfway through the upload, will try and work out the problem. Howard
  9. Hello Antarmike Nice looking bowsers, still havnt got around to doing mine yet, not enough hours in the day. Howard
  10. I picked up this little onan generator the other day its an onan W3M its a 3 kva 230 volts. After a bit of messing about i got it going and it produces electric. Its built in a small cabbinet. The side covers are missing but these wont be to hard to biuld. I have started to strip it down now ready for the grit blaster. Will post a few more pics as and when i get it done.I will add pics as soon as I get them uploaded. Thanks Howard

  17. hello yep thats what mine is doing, I can still see the water at the momment ,dont recon its found its own level yet. Well I got the timbers prepaired and painted today for the chassis rails. So all systems go for the cargo body. Regards Howard
  18. yea i know what you mean, even as a chassis cab it still looks good. Howard
  19. Hello Degsy I did wonder wheather to put an exspantion tank on it, saves having antifreeze blowing all over the axle ect.Just another job to do,just a thought. Before I go and get this cargo body Ive got to go and buy 2 11ft lengths of 3"x3" for the body to sit on. Getting it tomorrow all being well. I then have to mark where all the rivetts are in the chassis rails and mark the wood and drill out a small hole in the wood to allow the wood to sit flush on the chassis rail. I also have managed to source a set of vaccume wiper motors. Cheers Howard
  20. Hello Mate As soon as the correct ones are fitted with the body, remind me and the lights are yours. Cheers Howard
  21. Well after checking the levels and putting in £30 of petrol she fired up and off we set, the truck ran very well, no nasty bangs or noises.I did get some water blowing from the over flow pipe on the radiator but i put this down to the engine finding its own level. What more can I say,Iam very happy so this now leaves me to collecting and fitting on the cargo body. Regards Howard.
  22. Thanks for all the support lads.I will get some pics and let you all know the result tomorrow or sunday. Cheers Howard
