  1. I think I could combine that with the family holiday! Great set of pics, is it on the same weekend every year?
  2. Follow the link, a talk given by the NA on tracing Prisoners of War. http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/events/wwtwopow.htm
  3. That does explain why, if you do a google search, you get a lot of pics of furry things!
  4. I dont think you could get any closer than that, othe than being on the ground and being there and recreating the moves, taking pis etc. That would require someone going on holiday in the area, unfortunately not me , not this year anyway! Might be worth a look at the area on google earth or similar.
  5. From my limited knowledge, we had to cut the tyres bead to fit the C8 rims. Brit wartime rims are different, certainly to post war rims. Apparently with heavy duty gear you can squeeze tyres onto wartime rims, but the amount of tension of the tyre on the rims I wouldnt like! The tyre is more likely to give out.
  6. Your stand looks a lot like a bouncy castle Jack. Great pics, I hope they do that again.
  7. I thought about a toylander for Ellie our 2 and a bit daughter. I drove the Iltis back to our place about a mile or so up the road, the petrol lump has been replaced by a Passat Tdi lump. I havent seen what it does top end speed but am guessing 50-60mph. An entertaining drive though, and I intend to drive it to work everyday, especially with the top off. Though it staes a minimum of 2 people to take the canvas off and looking into it I can see why!
  8. Bought an Iltis off some dodgy old hack the other week! (1x Iltis off Snapper) Put it through an MOT to see what the old girl needs, and remarkably it was almost an identical failure sheet to what it failed on its previous MOT. Drove it back home today and it is sitting on the drive much to the annoyance of the neighbours. A fun little thing to drive, it certainly turns heads. Hope to order the parts to sort it out in the next day or 2 so it is ready in the next week or 2 for day to day use. Will post a before and after a lick of paint pic soon.
  9. You are slightly biassed there Hanno! The 2nd set of ics looks like a White, but what it the first with the rad and the pic further down that looks like a turret?
  10. We were there too! Camera has given up the ghost so no pics. Sorry not to bump into you but not wearing the "official" hmvf Tshirt. Good turnout of MVs though, hope to go up there next year with at least 2 vehicles.
  11. None of your half-hearted Scammels here! Serious heavy metal, comments and ids appreciated. Kicking off, dont know this one, not had chance to look it up yet, any ideas?
  12. Ah, while my 2 year old daughter was supposedly having her afternoon nap today the call of nature took her.We are talking big jobs not small ones...She also decided to change her nappy by herself.:shake: The phrase "Dirty protest" comes to mind. We are still washing bedclothes etc into the evening.....Children, dont you just love 'em.
  13. Thats fine work NOS! Im fairly sure, though dont ask me why, that the Germans first used their tanks near Baupaume. Pic in a previous post.
  14. No afraid not,lot of interseting ideas out there though!
  15. Very quick! Approximate date and area?
  16. Can someone tell me what the first vehicle is? The rest are just there for eye candy.
