    You are far more knowledgable than I give some of you credit for! Buggerit! Yes the middle one is an Argentine tank, their version of the Sherman. They made about 30 or so of these I believe before taking delivery of the "proper" item from the US. Yes the truck is an Alfa truck, so what is the last one...?:coffee:

    Depends on the make of fuel pump Mike, Bosch OK, Lucas not OK. Depends on individual car as well, Skoda Fabia Tdi OK, highly tuned Defender Tdi not OK. Not pointless as veg oil is a helluva lot cheaper than diesel, and red diesel is a little bit illegal unless your registered.

    Was thinking about this the other day, be nice to see it concluded.As far as internet searching goes I have gone as far as I can I think.I think it will need some footwork down to the National Archives or Regimental Museum to get the War Diaries/Trench Maps. I'd love to go down with you Tony, but as one of my less-than-reliable employees is doing a 5 week sickydue to a pulled muscle (:argh:), days off are going to be non-existent for the next few weeks.

    Dual fuel...interesting.. Similar to very new cars which you can run on veg oil, one method is you have 2 tanks and start on normal diesel then switch over to your veg oil.

    If anyone hasnt seen N.O.S. in the flesh here is a photo recently taken at the last MV show he attended..... Perhaps he could confirm this, but I believe he is a member of the re-enactment group the Titchmarsh Warriors, they meet every full moon under the big spotty toadstool behind the HMVF clubhouse...
