  1. Thank you for your reply Tony, I am only going on what Watts of Lydney told me. I only have one photo of I think The Lydney DT, but this is a black and white photo, if only I could remember how to put photos on here I would put my photo on.
  2. What a coincident,I was sorting out my loft today and came across the brochure fromCobbaton Combat Collection, in it is a photograph of this same Diamond T, I believe that at one time this belonged to Watts Garages in Lydney, I know they had three, the Gloucester one was painted light Blue, the Monmouth one was painted Red & so the Lydney one was painted White, nice to see the old girl seeing the light of day again.
  3. Are you on facebook, if you are there are three sites devoted to Diamond T's, there is my group WW11.Diamond T's all models, and the other two, whose names escape me at present. Regards from Dick
  4. Hi Dirk. On my Wynns Diamond T I just put two small hooks directly onto the chassic, so taht the chains can be fixed to the them, dont forget to cross the chains over, if you send me your email address (via this site) I will take a photyo of my version and let you have a copy. Regards from Dick (dizzy-t).
  5. Can any one please tell me how many Bedford RL wreckers were made, please, a lad on Bedford Owners on FB recons only 10 were made I would imagine a lot more than that made it, seeing as how successful the RL was.
  6. Dear Tony. I have two facebook friends who are after a Diamond T, have saved your photos of the Paris one so if you dont mind I will send them to both guys, both are keen as mustard to get their hands on one, Clint Walker was trying to get the one from Rush Green Motors, but the owner put the price up to £8k shame as it would be worth saving ex Murphy's, the other chap is Bill Rushton he has just rebuilt an old Army Bedford looks excellent now, think it had been used for film work. Hope your able to sell your friends T to one of my friends. Regards from Dick Smith (dizzy-t)

  8. Dear All. I am making a model of the Accurate Armours Bedford RL Wrecker (1/35th scale) and I am stuck for some decent photos of the rear body, I have got some from this site, but realy would like a diagram if possible of the top view of the rear body layout, does any one have a workshop manual for this vehicle which might have some good photos of the rear body work, that they could send me copies of please. Regards from Dizzy-t
  9. Dear Sir. You are like me, wannabe & a nevershallbe, I too make Diamond T models, but in 1/35th scale, resin and plastic, my fleet consists of 7 T's to date, I have made 4 by Accurate Armour, 2 by WESPE (Romania) & one by Merit (Plastic kit), the two I can tell you about are the Wynns T's, which were at the Model Truck Show at Gaydon last year and will be again this yera, they will be joined by the other 5 ( cant tell you what they are as its a closley guarded secret until the day, no one knows what models others are taking, also joining the the T fleet will be two Rogers trailers and and an AEC Matador plus a Ward la France Wrecker, plus if I can get it made intime a Bedford RL Wrecker. I think I have seen your model T's somewhere. Dizzy-t :wow: :drive:
  10. Olle has two more Diamond T's making a total of 7 T's, I am quite sure he will get the joke.

  15. Sad to see an old girl like this, I am wondering if its possible to get a sign which say DIAMOND T, everybody seems to have them, but have never seen one for sale, this would look good with my colelction of Resin T models.
  16. Hi Tony. Yes Graham is still around, doing a rebuild on EGG, which I think he said he was hoping to take to the Model truck Show at Gaydon June 8th & 9th this year, thats if he can get the Volvo in, he is also planning to take EGG to Dorset again this year, he was missing last year, as he was working in South Africa. Hope all is well with you. Regards Dick
  17. Its amasing what you can find if you realy are looking for strange things in fields, it would be good to know that the old girl had survived, but it would have been a major restoration, but stange things happen.
