  1. No boots? How come? Dutch postwar ones look like Para jumpboots. I got a pair size 42, uesd but ok.
  2. How did they call it? A Blub blub.....
  3. Hmmm, well actually I haven't painted one yet. I didn't overcharge Joris... :-( he is a freshly married man now so he needs it when pans go flying.....
  4. That's cool... you may have guessed I tried to drum up some bussiness for my repro helmets. Life is expensive and my income poor...
  5. I see a revolution brewing. Let kick out those guys (or wee in their drinks.) :shake:
  6. Take into account it can get VERY hot!!! Last year the heat knocked out a lot of people, 1 even died. Guess he wasn't prepared for 35 Celsius heat and sun. Never participated myself, lots of serving soldiers also march.
  7. Oi Jack Got a helmet? Joris has a GREAT repro :-D (para). Maybe a nice 2nd armoured painted one?
  8. I can imagine primer being eaten off by the gasoline and clogging your pipes and carb.

    Uniforms

Thanks, now I know what weight you refer too.
  10. It may be a Dutch conversion. If I remember correctly a Dutch company converted them in a standardised way.
  11. Just read the new articles. Well done, thanks Jack.

    Uniforms

Weight in stone doesn't mean anything to me...I've been in a Dingo and had to fold to try and look through the vision ports but still to long..
  13. Yep me also. Can't get to the gallery without :argh:

    Uniforms

For me the other way round. I am too tall for my weight. Ok I am down right skinny, can wear all the old uniforms although they are to short...
  15. I've seen a Mini Jeep body here in Holland at a MV dealer. Don't know how much it costs and you'd have to get a chassis, engine and axles. Guess my nephew would like it, hell I'd like it for myself...
  16. For WW2 people they have good price/quality ratio. Not as expensive as a Jeep, not to big, reasonable fueleconomy. In Holland we only need a normal carlicense. Spares readily available and lots of room inside.
  17. Hmmm, while we're at it we may as well retake that obstinate province ...
  18. Common sense is a disease lots of people are immune too....
  19. Another Dutchman on the forum, come on Joris now we can overthrow Jack and seize POWER...
  20. Hmmm, they tend to get very expensive if the corkpaint is ok as well as the straps. Check E-Bay. Those Fixed Bale are vulnerable to breakage. Or you order a repro from me marked as almost anything you want. Not WW2 but great for re-enactment....still pricy though.
  21. Because it was such nice spring weather yesterday we took our Dodge and Jeep for a drive. Here some artistic pics. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/T214/JeepDodge28November2006008Medium.jpg[/img] http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/T214/JeepDodge28November2006029Medium.jpg[/img]
  22. Twilight Zone!! :shake: yesterday when we drove our MV's we were saluted by a elderly man. I wondered about the origins of saluting....now the answer is here.
