Had a good day out today with a good mate of many years(EGG 159) i told him that i was not able to post photos of the tyres and hey presto he has done it for me.Hope they may be of use to some one out there.
Selling on behalf of a friend of mine 4 off 14x20 Alliance bar grip tyres. 22P.R.These have a tread pattern molded in the bars.They are on scrap rims , 3 tyres are good 1 has a cut i believe will repair.He is asking £180 for the lot.The tyres still have mold pips on the crown and show hardly any road wear.
There used to be a company called Nordian Services at Matching airfield run by a chap by the name of Wally Wheatley i had lots of bits off them in the eighties for my Ford F.A.T dont know if they are still trading though.

I believe that this is LMSW-53. LMSW 23 was built with a steel body similar to diamond t 980/ 981 . Geoff Maskell from Seaham did have one ,Might still have it.Joe Gillatt from Notts has a unrestored one.
I found the counter saff helpful,it was the supervisors that needed a Blue Streak up their ar--.Thank heavens that Swansea have the experts to deal with theese matters .However contact is always at local office so would assume that to reach supervisory level a basic knowledge of all taxation classes and registrations was required.
I think thats the reason they had to refer my application to Swansea.And as aresult maybe the next applicant will have less of a problem than i did, now that they have had guidance from Swansea.
HOORAY Swansea have upheld my request and granted the Diamond an age related number (495 XUX) and is now classed as historic. Really did not expect them to move so quickly on this matter so am suprised and well pleased .:-)
Spent over an hour at Nottingham DVLA this morning on second attempt to get my Diamond off Q plate.
COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME. They have now refered the case to DVLA Swansea.I was also told that signing a form V112G was not valid as their interpretation of the exemption for pre 1960 vehicles was(Motor vehicles first used before 1st January 1960 and used unladen before that date).
Now awaiting reply from swansea with the staff at nottingham implying that it would not go in my favour.
