  1. Visited Contractorman yesterday and collected replacement nearside bonnet panels as i have to tidy up the appearance of the T in time for Dorset,the original panel was really bad and ready to fall apart.
  2. A three page report about the three tanks at the Budby training ground,part of Proteus traing camp, apeared in Windscreen magazine December 1988 edition. The Curchill reportedly was to be restored at bovington and then to be taken to Normandy to be used as a commeration to the D day landings.The complete Cent was to be taken to a range for use as hard target no mention was made as to the fate of the Cent Chassis (not Sherman).
  3. Hi Mike Can understand things being a bit hectic in GDSF office, running a show that big must cause a few headaches for everyone involved. Entry form eagerly awaited, and many thanks for all your work in getting diamond t birthday bash accepted into heavy haulage section. Regards Alan.
  4. My Mack nm8 was used as a snowplough still has the mountings on the front bumper,very handy for fitting A frame for towing,still has the petrol engine under the bonnet.

  12. Have just reread the whole of the restoration blog having seen yor latest post.What an epic restoration, an inspiration to us all . Cant wait to see it at Dorset if i can get in front of all the other admirers. Many thanks for what i consider to be the best thread on the forum. Can Jim Clark supply cab repair sections off the shelf as i will be rebuilding the cab on my T during winter 2011-2012. Alan.
  13. Gone into silence mode on this thread so Shall be taking my showmans living van + 9x9 and as such all Diamond T entrants may use as open house getogethers etc" beer drinking not excluded." Graham aka "EGG 159" is travelling down with me as second man and will be bringing his Diamond T photo albums and hopefully some of his excellent Diamond T models for us to look at. Does any one on the forum have the capability of recording on disc or video of what could be the biggest gathering of Diamond T,s ever since WW II ?. Maybe as a commercial venture i know i would purchase a copy.:-D
  14. If it was mine i,d take it, i know that a lot of vehicle enthusiasts really do like to see un restored trucks. Over the years there have been a lot of as found,as bought vehicles paraded at Dorset much to the delight of the paying public as well as other exhibitors. TOO RIGHT IT SHOULD GO.:-D

  17. Hi Adrian,about time that i posted details of my Diamond T. Chassis no 9811975 Military reg 03ZC94 Civvy reg 495 XUX was Q 923 AVO Engine Leyland 680 Power Plus with 5 speed + overdrive leyland gearbox. Regards ALAN.
  18. Looks more like a Federal,the wings and bonnet sides are certainly more Federal looking than Diamond T.
  19. I hope he does,a great bloke .I think he really enjoyed pushing my T around the arena with his Rottinoff while pulling the Pickfords trailor last year.

  21. Anyone have a contact at Ward Barracks Bulford Camp,as i feel that is only the right thing to do and invite "OLD JOE" to the 70th Birthday Bash,being the last "T" in millitary care.
