Drive it! It's not that far!

And to get out of the toilets you have to open the door with the handle used by every dirty bu99er who hasn't washed at all.....
Ah, not anymore! I was in a pub the other week which had a door handle which replaced a plastic cover itself after each use.
It was one of these...

Mark,
Buy a replacement filter, there is a new O-ring in the box which you should fit to the housing. Also place a copper washer under the bolt head before refitting.

You may think £25 for a filter is expensive, but the minimum order from the manufacturers is to buy 10 at £30 each, so it's actually pretty a good deal!

Not yet Andy! I've been busy getting the last few jobs on the M151 done - needed a new steering box according to the MOT tester. Also had to replace the radiator on the Wolf, and some bushes on the rear axle. Then swap the old idlers on my restored Sabre for some new ones, and service it.... always plenty to do! This one has been pencilled in for a couple of months of intense work after Beltring though!

Have you had a look at Withams? They will have bought them there, and added on some profit.

Robin,
Have you tried asking the seller?

I have Merlin prints for CVRTs from the early 70s. All in service vehicles seem to have been moved over to the database, but it was not back filled so you need both the paper record card and the database print out to get the full story.

I have a box of item 4 - the bolts which hold the wheel on - if you manage to get the rest!

Dan,
What you have is not a spare wheel carrier, it's the lifting sling introduced to help get the wheel on to the carrier on the Defender . It's some health and safety thing which I find easier to ignore than to use. The side mounted spare wheel fits on to a bracket bolted to the roll cage as per the image below.

Robin,
Was the Supacat running when you tried jumping from it? What size is the alternator on it? Maybe it just wasn't kicking out enough amps to turn over the Stormer.

The problem we had was trying to start a dead 432 with a Sabre. The socket on the 432 wasn't earthing, with the A frame from the Sabre to the 432 it fired right up. Once we figured this out it was easier to touch the 2 vehicles together rather than mess around with an A frame or jump lead!

It is Syntolack Matt finish from Paint Shop Supplies in Nottingham. They matched it to some NOS parts I had which I think are Forest Green.

We always load CVRTs with 4 chains, 2 crossed over on the front towing eyes and 2 on the rear ones. You can see them move down quite a bit on the suspension as you tighten up the chains.

Convert it to a jpg. Open in whatever image viewer you have, and go to File > Save as and select *.jpg

This would be a major project. Not only is the gearbox highly modified, but the fan, dash, bulkhead, top deck, louvres, exhaust, air intake etc are all different and that's before you look at the fuel system. For sure it can be done, someone else besides Andrew Baker has done it. You won't believe how expensive the bits are.

In fact I saw quite a few of these bodge permitting connectors at Beaulieu AJ today. Yes I know its unkind to call it a bodge, but I do know what I'm talking about as I have fitted some on the Pig
Clive,
I like these connectors too, I have them fitted to the M151. It makes it easy to disconnect the batteries and remove the jumper lead - saves them going flat in the garage when I leave the switch on, and makes it a bit harder to steal at a show.

Jon,
Are you sure that is light stone and black? It looks like very faded Nato Green to me.

The 4BA cheese heads are the bolts holding the wire terminals to the switch.

You can get anything for a B80, from a reconditioned engine to a new block or head. The problem is the price, not finding them!
I would start here first:

Robin,
I had heard about these a while ago, but this is the first photo I've seen. I wonder how long they'll keep them!
