  1. I've never spoken to anyone else who has paid to join!
  2. You would have been better off joining the MVT.
  3. All the Series 3s went to MVS. I think Jacksons were still selling of the last of them last year for £100 to £400 a piece!
  4. These can often be found welded to the top deck in the corners of a 432. Is that all the label says?
  5. CW, Why don't you pick a few people from the past who are still around, write a few lines about what they've done and why they are important. That way we can all find out a bit about the past, and maybe forum members might be inspired to nominate one of them themselves? Chris
  6. Not in 1991, the Wolf did not enter service till 1997.
  7. Yes, that's the only thing I can think of, but in a 432 it takes a while for the fans to come on. It wouldn't automatically sieze after 15 mins running even if that was the case?
  8. How can this be true Mike? All the services are still connected when it's out of the vehicle, there is no seperate oil circuit which needs connecting etc. I have a lot of 432 manuals and even the SEME pack lift instructional video and I have never seen any mention of the 15 min rule you mention? :??? Chris
  9. Hello Uroš, I visited Slovenia a couple of years ago, it is a very nice country. I especially liked being in a ski resort in the morning and then spending the afternoon on the beach! I remember seeing some military vehicles near to Hostel Celica in Ljubljana that looked like they need some love! Chris
  10. Neil, I think you need to do some shopping around. A friend just got a quote from Swindon to Derby for £400 one way for a tracked vehicle. Try calling round some plant hire companies, they won't be busy at the moment. People who move tractors for a living are also useful. I've used both and had good service. Chris
  11. Mark, Have you got this yet? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Military-Land-Rover-Lightweight-Handbooks/dp/1855200155/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1237928896&sr=8-1 Chris
  12. Don't go buying a box body on the off chance that someone somehow managed to fudge it through the system. You need to talk to someone at the DVLA who knows what they are talking about and then do what they tell you.
  13. I am planning to be there, but I'm doing this truck for Normandy. If it's not finished by then I may need to spend that weekend finishing it off. I'll be at Malvern though.
  14. What colour are you painting the 432? I have some new sand coloured antennas, complete with the storage tubes if you're interested.
  15. A bit off topic, but here's that Striker last May when it went through Withams. Chris
  16. Have you taken the dash off and had a look behind? Make sure the plugs are all connected first.
  17. Ok Richard, I just took that from a list I had.
  18. Yep it is, there is a guy breaking MJs for spares on ebay. Might be worth sending him a message... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bedford-MJ-transfer-box-4x4-military-breaking-TK-TL-MJ_W0QQitemZ110342584366QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CommercialVehicleParts_SM?hash=item110342584366&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1683%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318
  19. Hi Chris, There was some talk of this on the EMLRA forum a while back. There is aparently a grommet made by Apaseal for this purpose. Not sure where you'd find one, try ATS? Chris
  20. AV is RAF radio vehicles, FV is army engineers equipment.
  21. Clive, Once you've worked on a Fox most things on a Ferret seem easy! Chris
  22. It's pretty small, I'm sure it's a 2...
  23. Hi, There is a special end for a 12x12 tent onto which this passage way fits. Obviously the framework is different. I have a brand new passage way end for a 12x12 going spare if anyone is interested! It's a much better design than the Mk 1 toggle or Mk 2 zip up ends as there is a roll up flap instead. Chris

  25. Clive, I was thinking more of using the cylinder than the complete cylinder & cable. There are actually 2 lenghts of cable on the Ferret, the rear ones are quite a lot longer than the front since the handbrake linkage is near the front bevel boxes. I replaced all these cables (and brake pipes) with the engine and gearbox fitted, it was a nightmare of a job! Chris
