Have never seen that type of Lucas taillamp, do have one in the collection that is flat like this one, but has normal round holes. Wartime Fleas never had a numberplate or numberplate holder, and like Ron has his, is exactly like mine, and mentioned in the parts lists. (scan at bottom) After the war a registration plate was needed, and so all sorts of things were added. Cheers, Lex

Hi all, Have about 10 down under in my registry, but have a load of documents from the AWM to still sort out, Most came from contract C7576 as pictures and the archives indicate. And only have one in my register in NZ, and that is an incomplete one owned by Mr. Mackintosh, of Manx Norton fame, but he told me some years ago there was another one, never got any details though. Please let me know if anything else turns up! I have loads of pictures and info on the Big 4's, and ride them regularly, on and offroad. Cheers, Lex

Hello David, The lucas Axle floodlamp is near impossible to find, only ever saw a couple, also used on Loyd carriers and Norton Big 4's I did find one after years of searching, but it was not easy!!! Much more common are the Butler axle floodlights, you see them around, Dirk Leegwater in Holland might still have some NOS ones. The taillamp I have no pictures off, can you post some please? Ok, I seem to be able to post again!! Here are my pictures of the gunclips, but looking at them, it will be very expensive to make them! need to make press fittings, so a batch of 20-30 or so would make it justifyable, but don't have the cash to start anything right now. OK, just found another snippet of info, foreign owners of old vehicles can ask for exemption, but has to be done beforehand! As usual in Belgium, there's 3 different language zone's so 3 email addresses, how can a ****ed up country like that ever function?? and be the seat of the EU...... As above, and this is also valid for oldtimer trucks from abroad, Belgium truck owners with an oldtimer registration are exempt. This is for all trucks above 3,5 tons, worst thing, you have to hire a special box, an OBU, on board unit, that is a sort of a GPS, that records and sends out where you're driving etc. this is coupled to your credit card, and automaticly charges for what mileage you're doing! (15-30 eurocents a kilometer), failing to do so get's you a 1000 euro fine! Not a good thing! don't think they'll have a 6volts version, as all modern trucks are 24 volts. 100% Miller, I had this part, but not anymore..... But the other part of the lamp I have maybe only seen once on a bike, very rare!! normally Panthers and Rudges used the very long, about 7" lamp, that goes across the number plate holder, google it, and it will come up. Cheers, Lex
