  1. I was told DAAF but DAAG seems more likely. Might have been slip of the fingers on the keyboard there. The chassis needs a new home or it might get chopped. Not sure if this was the one mentioned in Automobile. It could well have been. Do you have a scan of it?
  2. Steve was down in Devon over the weekend to take the Autocar into Honiton in support of "Honiton Armed Forces Day". He took the opportunity whilst he was down to finally fit the Water Pump to the engine.
  3. I hope so, but not by us. I hope a buyer for it can be found.
  4. That is i believe a "Coyote" which are made by Supacat for use in Afghanistan.
  5. Not a lot to go on yet, but it has been positively identified (data plate still attached).
  6. "There i was, waiting at the Church, waiting at the Church, waiting at the Church"
  7. This is interesting. 17 B25's together! http://www.youtube.com/user/MsPolleyVision
  8. I have had four e-mails and a phone call from a German lass looking for someone who collects MV's to appear on a German TV program. My instant reaction was "No way", and now i understand other people have had this approach as well. I have had two warning e-mails from the MVT about this woman. Has anybody else been approached? I generally try to avoid the TV as these people go out of their way to make us all look insane war mongers.
  9. great pictures. I very much like the idea of an MH armoured car. It is amazing what can still be found.
  10. Awesome! Well done everyone and hats off to you Jack. Only wish i could have been there - but there we go.
  11. if you cut of all that cr*p welded to it then you would have a really nice plough garden ornament and two Sterlings. If they are in their shed making stuff like that at least they are not out and about harassing normal people like us lot.
  12. Two restored ones in the UK and I think there is another one in Holland. Two or three more under restoration in the UK. Two of which are owned by the same people and although they have plenty of bits i have no idea whether there are enough parts to do both. The other one is quite far along. I will see if i can get a photo of it for you.
  13. Thats less than i thought it would be - which is brilliant news. What is there to do next?
  14. Whereabouts was that then? Is it to be restored or sold? just idle curiosity you understand.
  15. My shower has really low water pressure. Could i pop round your house please.
  16. I think i have, but i hear that they are really valuable.
  17. Oh bogger then. I let three go for less than i should have.
  18. That was a cracking day out and brings back many memories to read your post. I have not seen many photos of this years RTV. Maybe it will appear in Pathfinder? Tragically i cant make A&E. Poor diary management i suppose. I hope it all goes according to plan and every one has a great time. Tim
  19. Here is a lucky find. In Devon there is a second hand tool shop just down the road from where Tony lives. he received a phonecall from a friend who had visited the shop to say there was an interesting magneto there for sale. Tony drove down to have a look and found this: The magneto (which is in lovely condition) was no good for us. However a couple of phonecalls revealed that it was the correct one for an LGOC B Type bus. Coincidentally, a friend is rebuilding one of those and has been looking for the correct magneto for a while. He has helped out a great deal in the past and is great to be able to help him back.
  20. Well done and what a great picture. I look forward to reading the whole story in due course. Tim
  21. Value in the UK about £5, although probably worth more in Canada. I have seen people trying to sell them on E Pay for £40 though.
