  1. I found these binoculars this afternoon. Am i right in thinking they might be WW1. I guess they must be Belgian or French. Does anyone recognize the markings on it? 37.R.9.3 What do you think of t?
  2. You guys did a great job bringing this fine beast back to life....
  3. ww1 intendance truck. They had mobile shops behind the frontlines. I don't know if the 1923 date correct.
  4. Nice one Marcel, Is it an militairy vehicle? Seen the protection bar in front of the grille and the tow hooks on the chassis?
  5. Good shot, that must be it. They only have adapted the rear bed. Thank you.
  6. Hi Andy, There is a hole but no connections for batteries, no cables nothing. At the rear there is a metal screen but no electric motor is visible?? The cnc marking is painted on. The louvres between the wheels are really open..
  7. I found this great tracked vehicle on a Belgian fleamarket today. Any know this. It's very well made the metal tracks run very smooth. It has a battery opening but there is nothing in there. I am even not shure it has an engine. There is no makers mark what so ever. it's 30 cms long and rather heavy. I can find nothing on the internet. It even might be a handmade toy prototype? What do you think of it.
  8. The engine seems less noisy than the complete truck.
  9. Have seen this construction before looks like the rear axle of a Stanley steamer.
  10. The wheeled beast is a Panhard.
  11. Found this picture af abandonned french army vehicles in 1940. What could be the pylons on the Citroen halftracks? Radio antennas? But they look a bit after thought adaptions. And weren't radio vehicles closed usually? What do you think.
  12. I had the same kind of problem on my 1925 citroen, it started and idled well but as you thouched the accellerator it died off. Here it turned out that the markings on the flywheel were completely wrong. So instead of 7 degrees pre igniton it was 12 degrees late... Nice to the beast running after such a long time.
  13. What are the hooks for, to fit chains?
  14. Nice job, they look the same like the 2cv steering connectors.
  15. Did find this today. A fine Taylor barometer/altimeter. The ex-owner did glue a paper on the back with meters/feet conversions. As it was -2 degrees celcius on the market and i did want to have peak under the paper. The glue cracked due to the cold and revealed U.S. stamped on the back of the housing. Nice... What would it have been used for?
  16. I said already the Opel from the museum doesn't have it's original bar. Only the shape is ok not the material. And yes it is slighty more modern with the extra springs. On the row with parked lorrys you see both versions.
  17. What about a tramway electric line maintenance truck?
  18. Here an surviving Opel again in the weird colour scheme that Sinsheim uses often on restored vehicles. The protection bar is not original but the shape is. They have great french observation balloon whinch truck. Perfect restored but painted in bordeaux red with yellow accents....
  19. With specific protection bar i think it is an Opel. See at the left row. At the right are different models with extra coil springs under the normal ones like the Mannesmann Mulag had.
  20. Don't think so, daimler had cardan drive this one has chains. Looks like the grill protection bar goes around the headlights.
  21. Did find this binoculars on an belgian fleamarket. Was attracted to it by the engraved Touring Club de France. it was to remind that they were offered to the army in WW1. You also see engraved MG on the top. Which i first imagined being the owners initials but it turned out to be Ministere de Guerre. So next time you see old binoculars check those engravings.
  22. Same lock system as the Citroen 2cv then... ;-)
