John Briscoe Posted August 17, 2009 Share Posted August 17, 2009 The photograph is of Beetles at Cairnryan, approx 6 miles north from Stranraer, Dumfries & Galloway. There was a military port here during the second world war. These are just some of the items that are still in place. Many parts for the Mulberry Harbour project were manufactured here. The Beetles are at Old House Point, an area that is to become the new short channel link terminal for ferries to Larne in Ireland.
